What happens to the details you type into this site.

Nobody is on the other end of this. This is a demonstration website. Woodside Eye Care is not a real optometry practice, nobody answers the telephone number on this site, and no appointment booked here reaches anybody. If your eye hurts, if your sight has changed suddenly, or if you need an eye examination, please contact a real practice near you or an emergency room.

This site is a demonstration and nobody real receives anything typed into it. What follows describes how a booking record would be handled if this were a real practice, because that is what the page is standing in for.

The booking form on /book.html asks for a name, an email address, a phone number, whether you already wear glasses or contact lenses, an optional insurance plan name, and an optional note. That information would be kept as part of the appointment record, alongside the date, the time and who you saw, for as long as the record is useful to the practice and to you.

An insurance plan name typed into the booking form would be used only to check what that plan says before a visit, never sold or shared beyond that purpose. See the policy on your records for what a real practice keeps and how to ask for a copy of it.

The honeypot field on the booking form and the short delay before a submission is accepted exist to stop automated submissions; neither collects anything about a real visitor.

Questions about this policy, or about the demonstration itself, can be sent to eyecare@bestdealwebdesign.com.

  • Your records

Everything measured here is kept, because the comparison with last time is the finding. You may ask for a copy of anything in your record, including the images, and you do not have to say why.

Ready when you are

Ring to book an eye examination, or come in and browse the frame room — no appointment needed to look.
