This is a catalogue and not a shop. There is nothing to add to a basket and no checkout, because nobody should buy spectacles without a current prescription and a face measurement. Everything here can be looked at on the wall without an appointment.

A screening sorts people into those who need a closer look and those who do not. It is not a diagnosis, and a normal result today means nothing was found today.

Every photograph on this site was generated rather than taken. Nobody in the portraits is a real person, no frame in the catalogue exists, and the rooms were never built. How it was done, and the rules the pictures had to follow, is on its own page.

What using this site, including its booking form, actually means.

Nobody is on the other end of this. This is a demonstration website. Woodside Eye Care is not a real optometry practice, nobody answers the telephone number on this site, and no appointment booked here reaches anybody. If your eye hurts, if your sight has changed suddenly, or if you need an eye examination, please contact a real practice near you or an emergency room.

Woodside Eye Care, LLC as it appears on this site is a demonstration built to show what a real optometry practice's website and booking system could look like. It is not a real business, holds no licence, and takes no real appointments.

A booking made through /book.html is stored as a demonstration record only. No fee is taken, no appointment is confirmed by a real person, and the confirmation and cancellation links the system sends behave exactly as a real system's would without leading anywhere real.

If you are unwell, if your eye hurts, or if your sight has changed suddenly, this site cannot help you. Contact a real optometry practice near you or an emergency room.

The policies published on /policies.html describe how a real practice built on this system would operate, and are included so a visitor can judge the system on how it would actually be used.

Ready when you are

Ring to book an eye examination, or come in and browse the frame room — no appointment needed to look.

Woodside Eye Care Optometry & Eyewear

An independent optometry practice on 61st Street in Woodside, opened in 2009, with three examination lanes and an optician's bench, serving Woodside, Sunnyside, Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, Maspeth and the rest of western Queens. Eye examinations, contact lens fitting, children's vision, myopia management, dry eye, glaucoma and diabetic screening, plus four house collections of frames with the lenses and coatings priced separately so you can see what you are choosing. You get a written prescription at the end of every examination whether or not you buy anything here. We do not diagnose from a photograph, we are not a surgeon, and we will not tell you that your plan covers a visit — we will tell you the fee before you come.
